For more than 10 years, Paul has been providing counselling and psychotherapy in the public mental health sector. He brings warmth, genuine empathy, intelligence, curiosity and creativity to his work, creating a safe environment where you will feel comfortable sharing your story and experiences. Paul works with individuals, couples, families and groups, and you will find his unwavering commitment to your wellbeing empowering as you pursue hope, restoration and healing from all of life’s difficulties.
Paul Stimers has a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling (M.Div., Tyndale Seminary) and is a Registered Psychotherapist (#004717) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Paul is also a professional member of The Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), a Gottman Seven Principles Leader and a certified Prepare Enrich Facilitator.
Paul has considerable experience in child and adolescent outpatient psychiatry, and has developed particular expertise in the treatment of children and adolescents who experience mental health and/or behavioural difficulties, and helping parents, caregivers and families navigate these challenges. In his private practice, Paul has expanded his scope of practice to include adults and couples who experience individual or relational stressors, enriching and restoring marriages and relationships, as well as helping people resolve stress, trauma, spiritual concerns and difficult emotions.
Paul has been married for more than 10 years, and is the proud father of three. He enjoys camping, running, reading, football and spending time with his family. Oh, and coffee.

Paul has a passion for helping people work through difficult circumstances to find hope and healing, to couples overcome crises and strengthen their relationship and to enrich and deepen growing marriages.
